Legal Agreement:
I understand that all color and design recommendations made by Design Currents are opinion only. The client is responsible for finalizing all decisions and shall not hold Design Currents liable for any decisions they are dissatisfied with.
The owner of Design Currents is an award-winning artist with an MFA in Fine Arts (Painting). She has spent decades working with color and its impact on architectural spaces. She does not hold a degree or license in Interior Design.
There are no refunds once a package has been purchased.
All packages are to be used with the guidelines and timeline specified in the package description.
Packages and services are non-transferable.
A fee of $100 shall be incurred to renew an expired package.
Services and packages have specific guidelines as to the number of meetings held. If the client does not adhere to these guidelines and requests extra services or revisions, an extra charge will be incurred, billed on an hourly basis and to be paid in full at the time of service.
The color planning sheet is the copyrighted property of Design Currents and shall not be shared with non-clients.
All recommendations are for design choices only and do not include physical labor such as painting or prepping walls, moving furniture or hanging pictures. Professional trades people should be employed for these services.
Design Currents does not make purchases on the client’s behalf and shall not be held liable for the quality or safety of any items purchased. The client should thoroughly check manufacturers warranties and hire qualified trades people for painting, handling and installation.
Design Currents is not responsible for selecting or overseeing contractors and will not be held liable for the craftsmanship or conduct of any people recommended.
It is agreed that Design Currents is allowed to photograph the design process and include before and after photos on the Design Currents website and on other social media for promotional purposes.
After a package is completed, a $100 hourly rate shall be charged for phone and written correspondence (billed in 15-minute increments). Payment is due at time of service.
After a package is completed, a fee of $125 per hour will be charged for each in-person meeting, with a 90-minute minimum, for a total of $187.50. After the initial 90 minutes, a $90 hourly rate shall be charged, billed in 15-minute increments. Payment is due at time of service.
Design Currents will not be held liable for the safety of children, pets, elders, and all other individuals (including both occupants and guests) as related to the furniture and furnishings selected. The client is responsible for verifying that all furniture, décor and art selections fulfill their unique safety requirements. Should an accident occur, the client shall refer to the manufacturer or installer’s warranty.
For legal purposes, Design Currents does not provide transportation when attending shopping trips with clients.
